American Government: General Information
Welcome to American Government! This course is a journey from the United States Constitution to the American Presidency to United States Foreign Policy with many stops in between. Students will venture on a campaign trail, make a bill into a law, and take part in a court case. The following are some general goals that I hope to achieve during this course:
1. Knowledge and appreciation of American Government and governments of other countries.
2. Critical thinking skills.
3. Communication skills- verbal and written.
4. Citizenship skills- a call to action and service.
5. Interpersonal skills- working effectively with others, respecting others, tolerance of different points of view.
