Fine Motor Activities

These are activities that involve smaller movements of the hands, such as picking up smaller objects. These tasks develop grip needed as for holding a pencil as well as using a keyboar with typing.

Activities to work on:

1. Playing cards - shuffeling, dealing, card games, sorting the cards by color/suit

2. Stacking coins - quarters, then nickles, then pennies, then dimes.

3. Counting change

4. Chaining Paperclips

5. Building with Legos

6. Playing board games - such as checkers, monopoly

7. Touch the tips of each of your fingers to your thumb - work for speed
